Our Story

Welcome to Hannah Q Smokehouse. We started under a small tent on Friday nights in the parking lot of our sister restaurant, Jasmines on the Bayou. Our goal and passion were to bring great BBQ to South Louisiana. Before long, we were running out of BBQ, and Hannah Q Smokehouse was born. We pride ourselves in using the best, freshest ingredients, from USDA certified angus beef to locally sourced produce. Come and enjoy good food with good company, and let us welcome you to our BBQ family.

Pitmaster Paul

Paul Reeson is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. From a very young age, he knew he wanted to follow a career in the culinary arts. After graduating from culinary school, he worked at several esteemed area establishments. He is talented in Italian, Cajun, French Classical, and American cuisines, but his true passion is in the fine art of smoking meats. "I believe BBQ tastes amazing no matter what part of the region you're in. That's why I like to put all the best parts from each region in my dishes. From the smokey and tender Texas brisket to our unique Southern Louisiana BBQ jambalaya, we've created a menu that caters to everyone. It's truly southern comfort foods at its best. So let me personally welcome your family into our BBQ family and let us feed your heart and soul!"
